Maureen Dolan Bala Managing Advisor

Galway Group offers a unique perspective on patient support and access. I’m a science nerd at heart. I started in education at WGBH in Boston, followed by teaching in a Title I middle school in Los Angeles. I taught the best kids on Earth. Inspired by my students, I pursued an MPH, focusing on maternal and child health, at UCLA. From there, I spent eight years working in ambulatory care and hospitals, where I was responsible for clinical operations and revenue management.

I have witnessed, first hand, how dollars drive decisions in health care. I recognize how much good Industry can do.

I began working in biotech in 2012, leading a large Patient Support team at Genentech. I then leveraged my experience to build patient programs from the ground up, first with Amgen and later with Aimmune Therapeutics (acquired by Nestle Health Sciences), where I was Commercial Employee #14. Over the past five years, I have led Patient Support launches for three therapies.

Galway Group is my baby. The company name is a nod to my Mum, who left a different West Coast (Ireland) to come to this country. Galway Group incorporates broad experience in commercial launch team readiness and deep expertise in designing and building copay, reimbursement support, nurse educator, and free goods programs. We are proud to have a network of industry experts available to serve as resources in Analytics, Channel Distribution, Commercial Learning, Medical Education, and Payer Marketing.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, our little boy, and his growing collection of critters.
